Teemu Forever: Well One More Year At Least

Breaking: Teemu Selanne has announced he will return to the Anaheim Ducks for the 2013-14 Season.

The Ducks released the following video on the team’s youtube acount indicating that he isn’t quite ready for a career in Golf and will be back in Anaheim playing hockey at “the Pond” instead of hitting his drives into one.

The 43-year-old also indicated that this season, his 21st in the NHL, would be his last.

Selanne is an NHL legend, and surefire first ballot hall-of-famer. He’s done it all in the NHL from Rocket Richard trophies, to winning the 2007 Stanley Cup. I think I speak for almost all hockey fans when I say that it is great to see that the Finnish Flash will give us one more year to see his exploits out on the ice. Its also one more Olympics for the games all-time leading point scorer.

Last season Selanne scored 12 goals and 24 points in 46 games for the Ducks. Over his NHL career, he has scored 675 goals and 755 assists for 1430 points in 1387 career games.
