It’s been a crazy and unpredictable 2017 for Champions Indoor Football (CIF) season, and now its time to look back.

So, in a 5 part series, LWOS will look back at the Top five CIF games of 2017.

First, up on the countdown is the West Michigan’s regular season battle with the Omaha Beef.

For quarterback Alex Gardner, it wasn’t a good day. He got two interceptions in the game. One in the first quarter by Chris Perry and the other one in the fourth quarter from Paul Robinson.

Fumbles

Deshawn Dinwidd picked up the fumble to salvage an important touchdown for the team

In the second quarter, the Ironmen picked up the fumble caused by a rushing attempt by quarterback Anthony Iannott of the Omaha Beef, flipping the field position and momentum.

Also in the second quarter, running back and defensive back Calvin Philips fumbled and West Michigan’s James Ester recovered the ball.

In the fourth quarter, on a first down, West Michigan’s Korey Ringer rushed for eight yards, but fumbled the ball.

Cody Kottich of the Omaha Beef recovered the fumble which would clinch the game for the Beef.
