Where Are the Tag Teams At In WWE?

There have been so many great tag teams to work for the WWE in the past. Teams like Demolition, Legion of Doom, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Brain Busters and The Rockers in the 80s. In the early 90’s we saw The Steiner Brothers and The Nasty Boys. So what has happened in the WWE to the tag teams? Where are they?

The current WWE tag team division includes The Shield, The Uso’s and The Prime Time Players but that’s the only real true tag teams they have left. I just think about how 13 years ago we saw The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz and the team of Edge and Christian bring the house down at Wrestlemania 2000 in a triangle Ladder match followed by Summerslam 2000 in a TLC where the three teams stole the show, finally culminating at Wrestlemania X-7 in the second TLC match. What great matches those three teams put on, matches that nobody will ever forget.

30 years from now everyone will remember these great tag teams from the 80s, 90s and 00s. In late 2005 WWE started to build back the division with tag teams on Smackdown. They had MNM (John Morrison and Joey Mercury), The Hooligans (Paul London and Brian Kendrick) and the team of Deuce and Domino with Cherry. I enjoyed the runs each of these teams had with the WWE Tag Championship, even Deuce and Domino. I’d be even fine seeing the return of teams like The Highlanders.

I have been a wrestling fan for over 25 years now and I’m a huge fan and supporter of tag team wrestling making a big return to the WWE.  And if it does, I hope it stays around this time for good.
