Manchester United Announce Paul Pogba Medical
This will be Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing as a manager since arriving at Old Trafford, and each bring their own sense of optimism and excitement. Pogba joins the company of Mourinho era signings with Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Eric Bailly, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Signings of this calibre have been at a loss since former manager Sir Alex Ferguson left the club. They have the supporters in optimistic moods.
Paul Pogba is coming back to England after spending the last four years playing in the Serie A for Juventus. United originally let him leave on a free transfer. During his time in Italy he made 164 appearances for his now former club, scoring 31 goals and assisting on 28 as well. During his time with Juve he won just about every trophy a player could want, and will hope to bring the same success back with him to Manchester.
Pogba has played a vast majority of his time with Juventus as a true central midfielder. He has spent some time at defensive midfield as well. Due to his primary positions, and the style to which he plays; he could very easily be paired with any of the central midfielders currently with the club. With Mourinho favoring a 4-2-3-1 formation, do not be surprised to see Pogba drop back to possibly pair with the likes of Michael Carrick or Morgan Schneiderlin.
