The Washington Wizards have agreed to re-sign restricted free agent shooting guard Bradley Beal to a five-year deal worth just over $128 million. The contract cannot officially be signed until the end of the NBA’s moratorium period on July 7th.
Jeff Goodman of ESPN broke the news on Friday morning:
Wizards deal with Brad Beal is done, sources told ESPN. Worth about 130 million over 5 years.

Report: Bradley Beal Agrees to Re-sign with Washington Wizards
Beal’s contract will take him through the end of the 2021 season.
Bradley Beal averaged averaged 17.6 points, 1.1 steals and 3.3 assists per game last season for the Washington Wizards. He was expected to have a break out season for the Wizards last season, but was derailed by injuries. Beal has played for Washington his entire career. He has been a rising talent for the past five seasons. Throughout his career, Beal has been known for his three-point shooting. He has shot above 38% in every season. When healthy, Beal has shown that he can flourish as one of the top options on a team.
Looking forward, Beal will look to improve his play in Washington. Known for a dynamic game on both ends on the floor, Beal has the ability to become one of the cornerstone players for Washington alongside John Wall. The Wizards will need Beal to stay healthy and become the star that they believe he can become for them to return to the playoff picture in the 2016-17 season.
Beal is going into his 5th season in the league, during which he’ll be 23 years old. Until this point, he has mostly been known for his rising potential with Washington before the injuries plagued him.
