Vincent Janssen Signs With Tottenham
Janssen has made an impressive impact at AZ Alkmaar, scoring 27 goals in 34 league appearances at the age of just 21. This ensured that he finished Eredivisie top scorer last season. This somewhat prolific record will excite Spurs fans, who are encouraged to see Daniel Levy investing in back up for Premier League top scorer Harry Kane in Spurs striking ranks.
Janssen has recently emerged onto the international scene, with five appearances for the Netherlands prior to Euro 2016. He has scored three goals in that span. It’s clear that this young player has potential and would fit in well with the young Spurs squad.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, assistant Jesus Perez and head of recruitment Paul Mitchell were all present, and watched Janssen play for the Netherlands against Republic of Ireland in a pre-Euro 2016 warm-up game recently.
