The New York Times had an interesting article about the guy who determines replay challenges for the Yankees. That prompted Joe and Greg to debate the merits and strategy of instant replay in baseball. Is the challenge rsystem the right way to go? Should there be a fifth umpire in the booth to determine replays? Should there even be replay at all? Should we just switch to robot umpires? So many questions, thankfully Crowding the Plate is here to answer them.
Also, Bryce Harper just continues to be so awesome, the podcast can’t help but praise him. Jake Arrieta threw the first no-hitter of the season as the Cubs thrash the Cincinnati Reds.
