Treble Radio Premier League Preview

Premier League football is back from the international break, and so is Treble Radio, with our Premier League Weekend Preview. Tune in for the storylines and predictions of all the big games.

The international break is over which means the Premier League is back and so are we! Treble Radio opens with a new topic, as Eric and Laura vent their frustrations over the U.S drawing 0-0 at Trinidad & Tobago before we launch into our Premier League weekend preview show.

With really only one big game this weekend, we do our best to make all the games sound interesting.
Liverpool visit Manchester City as the tough schedule continues for Klopp’s new side. How bad will the absence of Mamadou Sakho hurt Liverpool, and is Dejan Lovren a capable replacement? On the Manchester City side, will Aguero be healthy enough to play, and if not, who plays striker?
A few years ago Southampton vs Stoke would’ve been a game of contrasting styles. Now though, Mark Hughes has Stoke playing actual football, with passing and dribbling and everything. What are the keys to this game, and who comes out ahead?
At White Hart Lane, can West Ham overcome the absencese of Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia, or will Spurs run of good form continue? Dele Alli scored a goal for England, so obviously he’s the greatest and West Ham don’t stand a chance, right?
To cap it all off, this week’s show includes a special guest appearance by Laura’s cat.

Laura McFayden is a photographer living in the great city of Kansas City, Missouri. Her love for Manchester United is just as strong as her love for MLS club Sporting Kansas City and two time NWSL champions FC Kansas City. She is also an MLS editor for Last Word on Sports. She has played basketball, volleyball, softball, ran track, and did gymnastics, but none of those came close to soccer.

Eric Walcott is a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives by day, and a soccer fan 24/7. He’s played soccer his whole life and now covers MLS, Portland Timbers, and Arsenal for LWOS. Eric helped start the supporters group Sons of Ransom for NPSL club Lansing United because there’s nothing quite like standing in the crowd and supporting your local team every weekend. 4th place might not be a trophy, but THE FA CUP SURELY IS!

Treble Radio host, Arslan Siddiqui, is a Canadian who does not speak many languages, but he has definitely specialized in the language of the beautiful game. When his grasp of the language isn’t strong enough, he (tries) to substitute it with comedy. He is a Liverpool fan who started the ‘Anfield Alive’ column on Last Word On Sports, where he provides commentary and opinion on everything Liverpool and Premier League related. A university student and a young adult, he promises to provide entertainment and (a little bit of) knowledge!
