The Montreal Canadiens starting goaltender, Carey Price, will be out longer than originally expected. After leaving Montreal to get a second opinion on his injury, Price will not return for at least one more according to head coach Michel Therrien.
Carey Price Out Another Week
According to Therrien, Price will not undergo surgery. Therrien did not disclose any details regarding the injury.
#Habs Therrien says Price’s second opinion in New York corroborated team doctor’s prognosis. Hoping Price will be “back on the ice soon.”

“We hope he’ll be able to get on the ice pretty soon. But this is good news.” – Therrien on Price. — Аrpon Basu (@ArponBasu) November 10, 2015
Price sustained a lower body injury against the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 29. It was initially said that he would miss a week of action and he has been out since. Price, last year’s recipient of the Hart, Vezina and Jennings Trophies and the Ted Lindsay Award, is 7-2-0 this season and boasts a 9.36 save percentage and a 2.01 goals against average.
Rookie goalie Mike Condon, 25, has taken over between the pipes for the Habs. He has gone 4-0-1 in Price’s absence. Condon has wins over the Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders and Boston Bruins.
