BATTERIES RECHARCHED
After an agonizingly long summer break, F1 is back at the legendary Spa circuit for the Belgian GP. The Force India team is looking to start on a high and is hoping that all the gremlins in their new car from Hungary are gone. However, both drivers have stated that the summer break has allowed them to recharge their batteries and are ready to finally get their 2015 season underway.
2015 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX FORCE INDIA PREVIEW
Nico Hulkenberg had a dramatic race last time out, finishing in the wall after a front wing failure. Nevertheless, he insists while the summer break has been good, he is itching to get back into the cockpit at his favourite track. He currently has 24 points and lies ninth in the standings, a career best and is locked in a battle with Romain Grosjean.
Sergio Perez is confident that the track characteristics of Spa, with is long and fast straights will suit their car. Overtaking opportunities are also a regular at Spa, which is something Perez might have to do given his slightly below par qualifying form compared to his teammate. Perez is 13th in the standings with 15 points and work to do in this second half.
Force India is slipping away from Red Bull who occupy fourth in the constructors. If Force India want to maintain their target of fourth, they’ll have to make up at least over 60 points.
