Fantasy Profile: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Despite the fact that he is very tall (6’5”); Austin Seferian-Jenkins did not have a lot of success during his rookie season in the NFL, and has not drawn rave fantasy reviews. Coming out of college he was touted as an athletic-style tight end that should get right to work with the other tall receivers on the Bucs in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson.
What has folks intrigued is the clout of quarterback smarts that Jameis Winston holds. If what is imagined is true, Seferian-Jenkins could be the benefactor of an overachieving passing game. If the opposite comes to pass, and Winston flounders in his rookie season then Seferian-Jenkins could become an afterthought in most fantasy leagues. Seferian-Jenkins is a bit of a risky pick, but he might be worth a late round flier as there is a chance for a sophomore breakout.
