Fantasy Profile: Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago Bears
A mixed bag of news is in store in 2015 for the career progression of Bears wide reciever Alshon Jeffery. At first look, the departure of Brandon Marshall should signify the clear ascension of Jeffery to WR1 status, however Jeffery produced more efficiently when Marshall was on the field in 2014.
The new additions of rookie wide receiver Kevin White and veteran slot receiver Eddie Royal should make Jeffery more of a “known factor” for the Jay Cutler led offense, but Marc Trestman has left for Baltimore and that offense is now being coached by Adam Gase formerly of the Denver Broncos. I am still bullish on Jeffery as a low end WR1, but there are signs that a potential jump into the top half of the WR1 ranks is unlikely.
