Four to Follow: IndyCar’s Wisconsin 250 at Milwaukee

After some crazy and exciting racing at the Auto Club Speedway, the Verizon IndyCar Series invades the historic Milwaukee Mile. The one-day show of the Milwaukee IndyFest will see the ABC Supply Co. Wisconsin 250 take center stage, with four key storylines coming in to the weekend:

Remnants of Fontana

The IndyCar Series has gone through quite the rollercoaster two weeks, from much criticism over the pack racing and spectacular crashes from the driver’s perspective, to comparisons to NASCAR’s pack racing at Daytona that have dulled the points raised. Will the issues raised by some of the series’ highest profile drivers rear their ugly heads again this weekend, or will it be smooth sailing for the teams ahead?

Classic Racing Says Goodbye?

As a stalwart on the IndyCar Series schedule, it’s always been a question of when, not if the Milwaukee Mile will be included. Going into 2016 however, doubt appears to be cast on the race, with the potential for the Road America road course to be replacing it on the schedule.

Big Name Dominance

The Milwaukee Mile may have been on the schedule for a large part of the IndyCar history books, but three teams have absolutely dominated the track over the past half-decade. Their names – Penske, Andretti, and Ganassi. Will this stretch of control continue, or will a new name like Rahal, Coyne, or Fisher grace victory lane?

Crunch Time

While a weekend seems fleeting to so many who enjoy them, imagine trying to get all your work done in one day. That’s the madness the IndyCar teams will be facing in a one-day turnaround on Saturday ahead of the late afternoon start. Will teams crack under the pressure?

Be sure to tune in to watch the Wisconsin 250 from the Milwaukee Mile, on Saturday at 5pm eastern time on NBCSN.
