Sioux Falls Storm will leave IFL for CIF

Sioux Falls Storm

The Sioux Falls Storm are expected to announce at a press conference on Wednesday that the team will be taking its talents to Champions Indoor Football (CIF) for the 2018 season.

The Storm were formally in the Indoor Football League (IFL) where they were the absolute top dogs of the league.

Sioux Falls had won six United Bowl Championship games prior to losing to the Arizona Rattlers 50-41 in 2017.

The Storm hadn’t suffered a season with more than three losses in the entire decade, and now they will take their success to a new foundation.

Sioux Falls Storm will leave IFL for CIF

The Storm’s move will give the CIF a 15th team, as soon as the Wichita Falls Nighthawks announce that they to will be moving to the CIF.

As for the IFL, the league is down to five teams and currently is sitting in a shell of its former self.

It appears the league doesn’t want to merge with the CIF – a move that indoor fans have been clamoring about for what seems like as long as time.

Nonetheless, here we are.

The time for the press conference has not yet been announced, but is expected to happen on Wednesday.
