Brigade Get Statement Win – Defeat Philadelphia Soul

Saturday, on CBS Sports Network, thousands of fans tuned into what they thought was a surefire victory for the Philadelphia Soul.

Instead, the Baltimore Brigade would play spoiler in an upset.

For the Philadelphia Soul, it didn’t seem like the energetic, high scoring team like were use too.

At the start of the second quarter, the Soul did attempt to get three points with a field goal, but missed to the right.

Then, midway through the second quarter, head coach Client Dolezl challenged a call where a Soul player scored a touchdown.

However, after throwing the challenge flag, the refs called the player out of bounds and the touchdown was called back.

With 2.3 seconds in the first half, unsportsmanlike conduct was given to the Brigade for calling 2 TO. In the final seconds of the half, the Brigade quarterback threw a dart down the field and the receiver caught it over the wall.

Philadelphia challenged the call and lost, trimming the Soul’s lead to 28-21.

In the second half, the Philadelphia Soul showed they still had fight left in them.

That is until they got to the fourth quarter. In the final frame of the contest, the Baltimore Brigade put on the after burners.

They shook up the Soul quarterback, caused the Soul to fumble, and even intercepted the ball from Philadelphia.

Also in the final quarter, Philadelphia scored once while the Brigade scored twice. When the clock struck zero, the unthinkable happened.

The Brigade defeated the Soul 49-42 handing Philadelphia their first loss since June of 2016 when they lost to the Arizona Rattlers in Arena Bowl 29.

For the Expansion Baltimore Brigade, this was a statement win in their history.
