Chris Perry’s pick-six Seals North Conference Championship

It was a nice Saturday night in Sioux City, Iowa as the Omaha Beef traveled to battle the Sioux City Bandits.

Chris Perry’s late-game pick-six gave the Omaha Beef the 55-45 win, and the North Conference Championship on Saturday.

The Beef will play the winner of Monday’s Texas Revolution – Amarillo Venom game on the road in the Championship.

The home-team Bandits received the ball to start the first quarter.

Their first drive of the game resulted in a touchdown, and a 7-0 lead early in the opening stanza.

Up next, the Omaha Beef, shortly after getting the ball, also scored a touchdown tying the game up at 7 apiece.

Close to the end of the first quarter, one of the Omaha Beef players tossed the football towards the Sioux City Bandits bench. It resulted in a sportsman like conduct penalty and a warning of ejection.

After that incident, the teams traded scores and the Beef missed an extra point. The Bandits lead 14-13 at the end of the first.

After an entertaining first quarter, the indoor war intensifies for the two teams. To begin the second stanza, the Beef had the ball. Early on in the quarter, they quickly got a 3 and out.

The kick is wide right and the Bandits will get the ball back.

With 7 minutes to go in the first half, all Beef fans were furious when the Beef kicker missed another field goal.

Sioux City Bandits was now in control and would be for quite some time.

With only 3:48 left in the half, the Bandits scored a touchdown and completed the point after.

After the Bandits kickoff, the Omaha beef suffered a penalty that backed them up close to their end zone.

That didn’t stop the Beef from scoring. With 48 seconds to go. The Beef are now in the lead by one point. 21-20.

On the ensuing kick off, the Bandits returned a kick to the end zone, taking a 28-21 lead after a two-point conversion.

With 40 seconds to play in the half, the Beef drove down the field and scored, tying the game going into halftime.

The Second Half

At the beginning of the third quarter, flags were flying all over, but it wouldn’t stop the Bandits.

With a little over 13 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, the Bandits took back the lead with a touchdown and a completed extra point. They lead the Beef 35 -28 early on.

Now it is the Beef’s turn at the football in the second half. The beef scored a 7-yard touchdown and an extra point to tie the game up at 35.

The Bandits took the ball back with 6:28 seconds to go. Knowing that they have to convert the fourth down or the Beef gets the ball.

Sioux City couldn’t convert, giving the Beef the ball and a big charge of momentum.

On the Beefs crack at he ball, the Beef milked the clock and tied the game at 35 heading into the fourth and final quarter.

In the final quarter, The Beef attempted a field goal. Again, it was no good.

With nine minutes to go the Bandits had the ball. They quickly moved down the field and scored a touchdown to take back a 42-35 lead.

After the Bandit touchdown, the Beef got the ball back and with one play, earned a the tie back, scoring a touchdown.

With three minutes to go in the game, the Bandits made a field goal to take a 45-42 lead.

In the final seconds of the game, with the game on the line, The Beef defense came up big.

The Beef defense intercepted the pass and ended the game.
