Sometimes, you just have to find ways to win. That has worked out well for the Ottawa Redblacks in game number seven. They sneak out a last minute win at home against the Edmonton Eskimos by a score of 23-20. They were not perfect, but they made sure they found a way to bring home the two points.
Ottawa Redblacks: Last Minute Win
Highlight of the Night
Jermaine Robinson picked off Mike Reilly with just over two minutes to go in the fourth quarter. This play resulted in Ottawa kicking the game-winning field goal and securing them their fourth win of the season.
Two Winning Quarterbacks. Good or Bad Problem to Have?
The same specific question has been up in the air before the season even started. Is there a quarterback controversy in Ottawa? Is having two quarterbacks that put you in a spot to win a good or bad problem to have? Having two quarterbacks that give you the chance to win on any given is actually the best problem to have. Ever since Henry Burris injured on his finger, Trevor Harris came in the quarterback role and just absolutely played lights out.
After Harris got hurt in Saskatchewan, the team rushed Burris back from the six-game injured list. It was a rough outing for Burris in his first game back and it looked evident that he was still hurt. Burris had a bounce back performance against Edmonton and he looked healthy again. He still made a few mistakes in throwing, but the team managed to pull off the win as a whole. The team managed to get Burris more chances throughout the game and he proved he can still get the job done, even in tight and close games.
Harris is supposed to be a week ahead of recovery from his injury. It will be interesting to see who will start at quarterback if he is healthy for the game against Montreal in two weeks. It is a tough decision for the team to make. Two winning quarterbacks who will put in that good spot. Who do you think should start at quarterback in the next game for Ottawa? There are lots of opinions on this topic, so feel free to comment below with your decision.
