Report: Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino Returns at UFC Fight Night 95

According to a report from Brazilian site UOL, Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino will make her second appearance in the UFC. She will fight when the UFC returns to Brasilia on September 24 for UFC Fight Night 95.

It was just announced a few days ago that the UFC would be returning to the Brazilian capital and now it is rumored to already have its main event when Cyborg meets Lina Akhtar Lansberg at a catchweight of 140 lbs.

For Cyborg this will be her second UFC fight. She most recently dispatched of Leslie Smith (at a catchweight of 140) at UFC 198 via first round TKO in Cyborg’s hometown of Curitiba.

Cyborg, the Invicta FC featherweight champion, has been taking fights at a catchweight due to doctors claiming the weight cut to 135 could be very dangerous. Currently the UFC does not have a women’s featherweight division.

For Lansberg this will be her UFC debut. She comes in with a professional record  of 6-1.

Undercard Fights

The other reported fight that is in the works for this card sees Phillipe Nover take on the former bantamweight champion and Nova Uniao trained Renan Barao.

Currently neither fight is confirmed, however both are reported to be in the works by multiple sources.

The fight card will air on Fox Sports 1 in the United States.
