Last Word On Sports has you covered with all of the “major” free agent signings listed in the LWOS 2016 NBA Free Agency Tracker. However, the tracker doesn’t cover some of the free agent role players who agreed to and/or signed deals from Tuesday to Friday. Our last free agent role players round-up covered the free agents who signed on July 4th. All four of our previous round-ups can be found at the bottom of the free agent tracker page.
NBA Free Agent Role Players Round-up (Part Five)
Gerald Henderson
Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reported on Tuesday morning that shooting guard Gerald Henderson agreed to sign a two-year, $18 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers:

Henderson leaves the Portland Trail Blazers, for whom he played just one season.
Jason Smith
Shams Charania of The Vertical reported on Tuesday afternoon that veteran big man Jason Smith agreed to a contract with the Washington Wizards:

The deal was later reported to be worth $16 million over three years. Smith played for the Orlando Magic last season.
David West
David Aldridge of TNT and NBA.com reported later Tuesday afternoon that power forward David West agreed to sign with the Golden State Warriors on a one-year contract for the veteran minimum:

The veteran minimum salary is reportedly $1.55 million. West’s decision to sign with the Warriors came just a day after superstar Kevin Durant decided to do the same thing. West is still seeking an NBA championship, after he fell short with the San Antonio Spurs last season. This is the second consecutive year in which West took less money than his market value in order to play for a title contender.
Nene Hilario
Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported on Wednesday morning that Brazilian big man Nene Hilario agreed to sign with the Houston Rockets:

The deal was later reported to be worth $2.9 million for one year. Nene played the last four seasons for the Wizards, who have now replaced him with Smith and power forward Andrew Nicholson in free agency.
Brandon Rush
Marc Stein of ESPN.com reported later Wednesday morning that shooting guard Brandon Rush agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves:
Brandon Rush has landed a one-year deal at $3.5 million with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein
— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) July 6, 2016
Rush officially signed the contract on Friday morning. Rush played the last two seasons for the Warriors, winning a championship with them in 2015.
Richard Jefferson
Forward Richard Jefferson announce Wednesday on Snapchat that he agreed to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers for two years. Chris Mannix of The Vertical later reported the deal to be worth $5 million over that span:

— Chris Mannix (@SIChrisMannix) July 7, 2016
Jefferson played a key role for the Cavs in the NBA Finals last year, when they beat Golden State in seven games to win the championship.
Leandro Barbosa
Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday night that guard Leandro Barbosa agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Phoenix Suns:
Free agent Leandro Barbosa has agreed to a two-year, $8M deal with the Suns, league source tells @TheVertical.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 7, 2016
Barbosa played the last two seasons for Golden State, winning a title with the Warriors in 2015. He played the first seven seasons of his career with the Suns, from 2004 to 2010, with another brief stint in Phoenix during the 2013-14 season.
Dewayne Dedmon
Charania reported Thursday morning that center Dewayne Dedmon agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract with the Spurs:
Free agent center Dewayne Dedmon has agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell The Vertical.
— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 7, 2016
Dedmon played his last two seasons with the Magic. He was linked to the Warriors in free agency rumors, but San Antonio likely offered him more money, knowing that West was gone and the departure of the next player on this list was imminent.
Boban Marjanovic
As the Spurs signed their new backup center, San Antonio’s fan favorite from last year, restricted free agent center Boban Marjanovic, signed a three-year, $21 million offer sheet with the Detroit Pistons, according to Stein:
Detroit is signing Spurs restricted free agent Boban Marjanovic to a three-year, $21 million offer sheet, according to league sources
— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) July 7, 2016
The Spurs have three days to match the offer, but with the Dedmon signing already in place, it looks like Marjanovic will be heading to the Pistons.
Marcus Thornton
Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reported Thursday afternoon that reserve shooting guard Marcus Thornton re-signed with the Wizards:
Marcus Thornton has re-signed with the Washington Wizards, per his agency.
— Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) July 7, 2016
Thornton’s deal was later reported to be worth $1.3 million for one year.
Marcelo Huertas
Wojnarowski reported on Thursday evening that point guard Marcelo Huertas agreed to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers for two years:
Sources on @TheVertical: Free agent guard Marcelo Huertas has agreed on a two-year deal to return to the Lakers. https://t.co/yrgf3nFBDy
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 7, 2016
Huertas played professionally for a long time in the Euroleague, but he didn’t come over to the NBA until last season. With the Lakers already acquiring point guard Jose Calderon, Huertas’ contract is unlikely to be worth much money, relatively speaking.
Marreese Speights
Wojnarowski reported on Friday morning that forward/center Marreese Speights agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers:
Free agent Marreese Speights has reached agreement on a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell @TheVertical.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 8, 2016
Speights’ new contract is for the veteran minimum, according to ESPN’s Zach Lowe. Speights played his last three seasons for the Warriors, winning the title with them in 2015. His production off the bench will likely be replaced by West, whose new deal was mentioned earlier.
