The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to sign unrestricted free agent point guard Jeremy Lin to a contract worth $36 million over 3 years. The contract cannot officially be signed until the end of the NBA’s moratorium period on July 7th.

Report: Jeremy Lin Agrees to Contract with Brooklyn Nets
Lin’s contract will take him through the end of the 2019 season. There is a player option for the third year of the contract.
Jeremy Lin averaged averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3 assists per game last season for the Charlotte Hornets. He was a key six man for Charlotte in the regular season and in the playoffs. Lin has played for five teams in the past six years and is looking for stability in Brooklyn. He has come off the bench for the past three seasons with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Charlotte Hornets.
Looking forward, Lin will provide scoring and contribute on both ends of the floor for Brooklyn. Known for his spark on the court, Lin will look to become one of the prominent scorers on a depleted Nets roster. Right now he is the second best scorer on the roster and should expect to jump right into the starting point guard role. Considering the deals other players around the league are getting, the Lin contract seems like a bargain for the Nets. Brooklyn has plenty of cap room left, so expect them to be very active the next few days.
Lin is going into his seventh season in the league, during which he’ll turn 28 years old. Until this point, he has mostly been known for his brief run with the New York Knicks.
