Zlatan Ibrahimović at Manchester United?

Zlatan Ibrahimović at Manchester United? Could we really see the Swedish international in the Premier League, reunited with former boss?

Could it be that we see Zlatan Ibrahimović at Manchester United? The Swedish star has set his sights on England to reunite with his former head coach, José Mourinho. The 34-year-old has promptly accepted an offer from England’s most famous club, Manchester United. Consisting of a one-year deal, the cost still has yet to be confirmed, but according to The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano and Marcus Christenson, Ibrahimović has asserted that he wants no less than £220,000 a week, concluding to approximately £11,500,000.

Zlatan Ibrahimović at Manchester United?

Standing at six foot five inches, Ibrahimović contains the capability to visualise upcoming plays in each and every game, better than any other footballer, similar to how he is able to envision what the future holds for him at Manchester United. It is reminiscent of the glorious and victorious days he had with Mourinho at Inter Milan for three consecutive years, making 88 appearances consisting of 57 goals.

Sky Sports’ Nick Wright claims that Ibrahimović and Mourinho have nothing but impeccable history with each other, providing us with an answer as to why Mourinho decided to retrieve the Swedish striker and place him back into his line-up or, essentially, back into his life. As the years went on, the famous Zlatan exceeded the outcomes, and fortunately scored more goals than anyone thought he could have. Playing four years with France’s top club, Paris Saint-Germain (2012-2016), he has achieved a personal dream and target of scoring 113 goals while appearing in 122 games.

The Portuguese manager has the audacity to join prominent clubs and create new mindsets within its players in order to achieve great things. However, he does have an issue with the number of years he remains in a club. Mourinho has only lasted for a maximum of three years with two different clubs: Chelsea from 2004-2007, and with Real Madrid from 2010-2013. He has the capability of adjusting a club’s poor formation, communication, or simply building up adrenaline through the telling of a story before a game or practice. But, unfortunately, those specific techniques do not last as long as any other coach.

Assumingly, this is could be a valid reason as to why Minteranchester United offered only a three-year contract as opposed to other coaches who get offered enduring terms. With Mourinho on the sideline, acquiring his Swedish weapon, they will be hoping to bring Manchester United back on top of the league where they belong. Finishing fifth place in the Premier League this season under Louis van Gaal, their fans are satisfied that United will be participating in the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League, although, just like many other popular clubs, they have a desire to compete in the UEFA Champions League. Hopefully under Mourinho’s reign, rules and regulations, the Red Devils and Zlatan Ibrahimović will have the ability to finish in the top three whilst entering the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League.
