With new Cardiff boss Paul Trollope gearing up for his first transfer window in charge, there is plenty of talk about the future of some of his new players. Some will be moved on for financial reasons, and others will be seen as no longer needed.
Possible Cardiff City Departures:
Bruno Manga
Cool, calm and collected at the back, the Gabon international undoubtedly has the ability to ply his trade in the top flight. However, with Manga now entering the last year of his current deal, and with a number of Premier League sides keen to secure his services, it’s likely the club will cash in.
Scott Malone
Malone is an attack-minded full-back, always looking to get forward and overlap. Defensively, there are question marks over the 25-year-old, who seems to get caught out of position and gets beaten too easily. There is little doubt that full-back is an area Trollope will need to address as Cardiff look to improve on last campaign.
Kagisho Dikgacoi
The South African came to Cardiff with a great reputation for his ball winning and ability to break up play. He has been halted by injury throughout his stay in the Welsh capital and has offered little: a big disappointment.
Matty Kennedy
The wide man never really got a look in at Cardiff last term after impressing many fans with his performances in 2014-15. There is a perception among fans that he could offer something if utilised correctly, but he will have to prove his worth to Trollope in pre-season.
Idriss Saadi
Saadi was signed by former boss Russell Slade after impressing with 20 goals in just 40 appearances for Clermont Foot, but given the injury problems he’s had, it is very possible that the Bluebirds will allow him to move on this summer.
