NXT Superstars That Could Impact The Main Roster

NXT has produced some really spectacular main roster stars that have ranged in success. Big E (Formally Big E Langston) came from the NXT brand and has had some pretty good success. He is a former Intercontinental champion, and a current WWE World Tag Team Champion. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns came up together and made an impact right away. They dominated the main roster in a faction known as the shield. Both Seth and Roman have become WWE World Heavyweight Champion (Reigns in the current champion). Dean is a former World Tag Team, US, and Intercontinental champion as well as having multiple opportunities at the Heavyweight title. This article would be remiss without mentioning the women’s revolution. Sasha BanksBecky Lynch, and Charlotte have all injected life into the women’s division. With Charlotte leading the charge holding the newly minted Women’s Championship since Wrestlemania 32. The list goes on  with NXT stars that have had an impact on the main roster, lets take a look at some of the current NXT stars that could make an immediate impact if called upon.

NXT Superstars That Could Impact The Main Roster

Bayley

Speaking of the four horsewomen Bayley is the only piece of the puzzle that has yet to be seen on the main roster. She has been with NXT since 2012 and has won the fans over since her arrival. She is a lovable babyface character, and has even been called the female equivalent of John Cena. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion holding the belt for 223 days which included huge wins over Nia Jax, her best friend Carmella, as well as competing in a match of the year alongside former NXT women’s champion Sasha Banks. Bayley dropped the belt to Asuka at NXT Takeover: Dallas and has seemed to reach her plateau in NXT. It is time for the final Four Horsewomen to get promoted to the main roster. She could be a major merchandise seller, bring even more intrigue to the women’s division, and her arrival could potentially set up a stellar fatal four way for the Women’s Championship at Summerslam!

Finn Balor

Finn Balor arrived to NXT from New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2014. Since his arrival he has skyrocketed to the top of the card. He entered a number one contender tournament for the NXT Heavyweight Championship beating Curtis Axel, Hideo Itami, and Adrian Neville to meet Kevin Owens for the title but was unsuccessful in that endeavor.  He later scored a victory over Tyler Breeze to set up an epic battle against Owens in a WWE Network Special The Beast in the East where Balor finally captured the NXT Championship which he held for 292 days. After a surprise title change in Lowell, Massachusetts, Balor has been rumored to make his main roster debut it seems every week. With former bullet club members Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows already there as well as AJ Styles we could see Balor as soon as tonight with the RAW after Extreme Rules. He could come up to add to the WWE version of “The Club”, he could reignite his feud with the volatile Kevin Owens, or he could be solid mid card performer going after the US and Intercontinental championships. Balor has had much success in NXT, and it could easily be translated to success on the main roster

American Alpha

Unless you live under a rock, or you just do not watch NXT, you know that American Alpha has been one of WWE’s hottest tag teams. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable have had a long road to the NXT Tag Team Championships. The two started off as a reluctant heel team, but quickly emerged as a serious team and gained a lot of the fans support. Going deep into the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic beating two teams, and beating teams such as The Vaudevillians and The Ascension they quickly rose the ranks of tag teams in NXT. They beat The Vaudevillians to gain the number one contendership and beat The Revival (Dash & Dawson) for the NXT tag team championships. Although their title reign is still in its infancy it is not hard to see American Alpha dominating with their amateur style on the main roster. Especially with the recent successes of new members of the main roster Enzo and Big Cass and The Vaudevillians. American Alpha could throw their names into the hot tag team division which would make the tag team division even more hotly contested. They are a high powered, quickly paced team that could have classics with just about anyone one the roster, and would immediately be contenders for the Tag Team Championships. Let them enjoy their NXT tag title run now because they have earned it, but it won’t be long before we see them battling for main roster gold.

Shinsuke Nakamura

The King of Strong Style has arrived to WWE and wasted little time having an instant classic against Sami Zayn at NXT Takeover Dallas. Shinsuke made his debut shortly after the new year, and immediately became a star. He has been a major merchandise seller and the pop he receives when coming down the ramp is almost unmatched. Now he hasn’t won any titles in NXT but he has built a legend in New Japan Pro Wrestling. His hard hitting style, and unique move set would be an immediate hit on the main roster and he could be inserted in almost any situation. The list of dream matches for Nakamura is almost endless. He could go after the heavyweight title against Reigns, face off against the 15 time champion John Cena, or maybe just bust off another instant classic against Sami Zayn.

NXT has produced a lot of talent, some enhancement, some main event caliber but one thing is for sure the stars that are currently at NXT can and will revolutionize the main roster. These four stars are just a handful of performers that can have a huge impact the main roster.
