The Florida Panthers have made some changes to the club’s front office. Tom Rowe has been named the new general manager of the team and former general manager Dale Tallon has been promoted to President of Hockey Operations. The Panthers have also named Eric Joyce and Steve Werier assistant general managers.
Tom Rowe has been with the Panthers since the 2013-14 season, when he was hired as head coach of the San Antonio Rampage, Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate team. On Jauary 1st of this year, Rowe was named associate general manager of the club, but now with his newest promotion, has taken over at GM.
Joyce was the Gm of San Antonio, whereas Werier was the vice president of legal and business affairs of the Panthers. Both men will continue to hold those positions as well as their new ones.
As for Dale Tallon, he has been a general manager since 2010, and with his latest promotion to President of Hockey Operations, will oversee all aspects of hockey operations in this role, including scouting, player acquisition and development.

The Florida Panthers had a bright 2015-2016 season, finishing the year with 47 wins and 103 points, winning the Atlantic Division. They also made the 2016 National Hockey League playoffs, where they lost to the New York Islanders in 6 games in the first round.
