Here is our earlier story.

Conor McGregor once again set the MMA world into a frenzy Monday morning announcing via Twitter that he will be fighting at UFC 200.

The Tweet implicates the two sides have made amends over the ongoing saga that has encapsulated the MMA world as of late, however; the UFC has been mum on the situation, with no official announcement having yet been made regarding the UFC’s biggest star’s participation in the landmark event.

News of the situation first broke last week when McGregor set the MMA world into a panic via a Tweet, in which he said he had decided to call it a career.

UFC President Dana White subsequently appeared on ESPN SportsCenter to announce that McGregor had been pulled from the card entirely for not honoring his press obligations in not showing up to Las Vegas for the UFC 200 press conference, and other promotional requirements.

White also stated that if McGregor had indeed retired he would have to relinquish his belt, leading to the Irishman releasing the following statement via a lengthy Facebook post.

The drama continued into the UFC 200 press conference with a grilling by media of White over the reasoning for calling off one of the most anticipated rematches in UFC history dominating the press conference, with Nate Diaz stating that he wasn’t interested in any other fight, and McGregor watching closely and tweeting:

With UFC 197 happening over the weekend, both sides had been silent until today’s news, and whether true or not, with just a simple tweet, McGregor has once again proven that nobody in the fight business is able to generate the amount of publicity that he can – not even the UFC.
