The following is a press release from LA Galaxy II of the USL.

CARSON, CA (April 14, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (2-0-3, 9 pts.) drew against new USL expansion club San Antonio FC (1-0-2, 5 pts.) 1-1 at StubHub Center on Wednesday night behind one goal from LA Galaxy II forward Jack McBean.

LA Galaxy II Draw San Antonio 1-1

After missing an opportunity to put home a cross in the box from Denzel Slager just minutes earlier, LA Galaxy II captain Jack McBean scored the first goal of the night from a swift cross into the box from Los Dos defender Josh Turnley in the 40th minute. The goal, McBean’s fourth of the season, makes him USL’s leading goalscorer (4).

LA controlled much of the game, but conceded a set-piece goal in the 89th minute after committing a foul in their own third. San Antonio’s Carlos Alvarez cleaned up the ball into the box, putting the ball in off the top of the bar.

Tonight marks the fourth straight game LA Galaxy II Head Coach Curt Onalfo has started the backline of Josh Turnley, Lee Nishanian, Jeffrey Payeras and Nathan Smith. It was the first goal Galaxy II goalkeeper Clement Diop conceded in 2016, turning in two clean sheets in his previous two matches.

The draw, LA Galaxy II’s third consecutive, allows Los Dos to maintain their unbeaten status in 2016. In 2015 through five games, Los Dos were 1-3-1.

LA Galaxy II will now host Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (2-0-1, 7 pts.) on Friday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center. For a full LA Galaxy II schedule, visit www.lagalaxy.com/2.
