The Los Angeles Rams have acquired the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. In a shock trade that broke around 6am local time in Los Angeles the team traded for the Tennessee Titans first overall pick. This is a huge trade that will no doubt have a ripple effect in the draft. Laremy Tunsil was the projected number one overall pick, but it is now expected he could fall down the board. It is expected the Rams will target a quarterback, with North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz and Cal’s Jared Goff the top two available.
There wasn't a draft trade until pick 15 last year; already have had 2 top 10 picks traded 2 weeks before draft.

In an interesting twist the deal was completed yesterday but Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher didn’t want to announce it yesterday as he deemed yesterday was Kobe’s day.
“Being able to acquire six players in the top 76 this year, along with next year when you factor that into it — I am assuming five in the top three rounds — that is 11 players that we can add to this football team that should not only increase our depth, but give us good quality players at all those positions,’’ Titans general manager Jon Robinson said on NFL Network.
“In the end we thought it was a decision that was best for this football team. It made sense for us to do it, and that’s why we moved on it. We talked to several teams about the pick. There was interest in the pick, and in the end we thought this was the option that made the most sense for us…We think we can really bolster this roster with the picks that we now have.”
The picks being moved go as following:
