Veteran forward Scott Hartnell, of the Columbus Blue Jackets, bagged another milestone in an accomplished career, one he’ll surely be proud of. The forward has played for three organizations throughout his career and has produced solid seasons and scoring everywhere he’s gone, with Columbus not being an exception to that statement.
Scott Hartnell Scores 300th Goal
Scott Hartnell has long been know as a bit of an antagonizer, with his goalscoring ability seeming to take a bit of a back seat when people speak about him. However, tonight’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks saw him reach a milestone that will not soon be forgotten. In typical Hartnell fashion, he snuck in behind Corey Crawford and collected a pass off the boards to push in a completely uncontested poachers effort. The goal might seem to be a bit lacklustre, but it just goes to show that experience, and smarts, can go a long way when trying to reach a milestone of this sort.
The 300th goal of his career is also the 22nd of this season for Hartnell, as well as putting him on 47 points for the season. Along with his milestone goal, he was able to pitch in with an assist later in the second period, which is his 25th assist for the season and good for T-4th on the team in assists with Captain Nick Foligno. Hartnell, with his play tonight, continue to proves why the 33-year old continues to be a pivotal player in the Columbus Blue Jackets organization.
