Current UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is injured and has withdrawn from his much anticipated rematch with Jon Jones at UFC 197.
The UFC has yet to make an official announcement regarding DC’s injury, however, BJPenn.com – who broke the news Friday, cited sources inside AKA have confirmed Cormier’s withdrawal from UFC 197.

Daniel Cormier Injured; Out of UFC 197
Though the specific injury is unknown and has only been described as a lower body injury, rumors began to circulate around the web last week that Cormier had been spotted limping in attendance at a wrestling tournament in California.
The heated rivalry between the two, dating back to their first encounter in which Jones got the better of Cormier, and witnessed the now infamous on-stage brawl, had been reignited in recent months with the two trading jibes on social media; culminating in an intense sit-down with Joe Rogan on UFC’s Counterpunch show.
No word yet on the status of the main event at UFC 197 or whether Jones will remain on the card.
