This season Last Word on Sports will be keeping you up to date on the Arsenal players out on loan, as they continue to develop their skills and prove they are ready to compete for a place in the Arsenal side. This past week, an Ainsley Maitland-Niles assist was the highlight for Arsenal loanees.

- Yaya Sanogo (ST), on loan to Charlton Athletic in the Championship
- Ainsley Maitland-Niles (MID), on loan to Ipswich Town in the Championship
- Isaac Hayden (CB/MID), on loan to Hull City in the Championship
- Chuba Akpom (ST), on loan to Hull City in the Championship
- Jon Toral (MID), on loan to Birmingham City in the Championship
- Emiliano Martinez (GK), on loan to Wolves in the Championship

Wojciech Szczesny played the full 90 minutes as Roma defeated Udinese 2-1 to stay in the Serie A title race with their eighth straight victory. The Arsenal man was forced into just two saves in the match, as Roma had to hold on late after conceding an 85th minute goal to bring Udinese within one.
Yaya Sanogo did not play as Charlton won 2-0 over Middlesbrough. The match broke a string of four consecutive appearances for Sanogo.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles came on in as a 70th minute substitute in Ipswich’s 2-2 draw with Bolton midweek last week. Ipswich did not play over the weekend The Arsenal man had an immediate impact, registering an assist just two minutes after coming on, to give Ipswich a 2-1 lead which they did not hold on to. Over the weekend, Maitland-Niles started and played 88 minutes as Ipswich lost 1-o to Cardiff.
Isaac Hayden started and played 73 minutes as Hull drew 1-1 with MK Dons. Hayden nearly had an assist just before the break with a ball in from the wing, but the chance was not converted. Hayden was fairly anonymous for the rest of the match, and was removed as Hull searched for the winning goal late on. Teammate Chuba Akpom started and played the full 90 minutes. Akpom registered five shots, though none of them on target, and one chance created.
Jon Toral started and played the entire match as Birmingham drew 0-0 with Wolves. It was a below average match for Toral, but in truth it was poor for much of the Birmingham side as Wolves were the better side on the day and probably unlucky not to come away with all three points. Toral nearly set up the winner, creating a chance in the box in the 72nd minute, but the shot from Clayton Donaldson went wide. Fellow Arsenal loanee Emiliano Martinez did not play for Wolves.
Wellington Silva came on in the 70th minute, but was unable to impact the game as Bolton fell 2-1 to Preston North End.
Gedion Zelalem did not play as Rangers won 3-1 over Morton.
Glen Kamara started and played 87 minutes as Southend defeated Barnsley 2-1 in League One.
Mathieu Debuchy did not play as Bordeaux lost 4-0 to Toulouse.
