The 30-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer, has been working on a deal for some time, and did not travel with the squad for last Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Marseille.
Ezequiel Lavezzi Set for China
Paris boss, Laurent Blanc, admitted after the game that it is likely Lavezzi will leave the club, saying, “He prepared to come here to Marseille and then at the last minute he stayed in Paris to negotiate his departure.
“We already anticipated it a bit because we opened the door for Pocho [Lavezzi] in the winter transfer window, something that he didn’t take advantage of.
“The club is discussing it with Pocho’s people. We’ll have to think about it, given that if we lose one player we won’t be able to replace him.”
The Chinese Super League, which has already attracted the likes of Alex Teixeira, Ramires and Jackson Martínez this season, will see its winter transfer window close on February 26th. The league is flush with cash and is thus quickly becoming a lure for some of the games biggest talents.
Lavezzi, who joined PSG from Napoli in 2012, scored 35 goals in the French capital and will now look to continue his career outside Europe.
