Dodger fans, you will be relieved to hear that Howie Kendrick is staying in Los Angeles. The 32 year-old second baseman agreed to a two-year deal pending physical with the Dodgers as of Friday evening. The deal was first reported by Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and despite the recent trend, contains no options or opt outs.

Kendrick has spent his whole career in Los Angeles. The Florida native was drafted by the Angels in 2002 and joined the Major League club in April of 2006. After spending nine seasons with the Angels, Kendrick was traded to the Dodgers prior to the 2015 season in exchange for Andrew Heaney. In 117 games with the Dodgers, Kendrick produced a slash line of .295/.336/.409 with 9 home runs and 54 RBIs.
Kendrick was one of the few top free-agents remaining on the market. He will return to a Dodger team that captured the NL West crown last season, before being defeated by the Mets in the NLDS.
