Chinese side Jiangsu Suning have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Ramires in a £25m deal. It is the most expensive signing in the history of Chinese football.
Ramires who agreed a new four-year deal with Chelsea last year made only seven starts in the Premier League this season.
The 28-year old Brazilian won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and the Champions League during his time at Chelsea.
Ramires joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2010 in a deal worth £17m. He made 251 appearances for the Blues and scored 34 times.
We have seen a lot of Brazilians move to the Chinese Super League and Ramirez goes to add to the ever growing list. He joins the likes of Robino and Paulinho.
The Brazilian was a target for some big clubs in Europe including Bayern Munich and PSG. It appears the offer from the Chinese outfit was too good to be rejected by both club and player.
Chelsea on the other hand are expected to finalise a move for Alexandre Pato who is believed to be in London for his medicals ahead of the a loan move. Pato who comes in as the man to give Chelsea options upfront has been in form in recent seasons in Brazil.
