College Football Playoff Rankings Analysis – Where did the committee miss it?

The initial College Football Playoff Rankings are on the street. Clemson, LSU, Ohio State and Alabama would make the field right now in that order with Notre Dame and Baylor waiting by as the first two out. Let the debate begin.

Should Alabama be rated ahead of eight undefeated teams including five Power 5 clubs? Why is Clemson #1? What to do with Memphis and the rest of the Group of 5? How should teams be evaluated who have yet to play a quality opponent? Baylor, we’re talking to you.

MarkRogersTV runs down his initial rankings 1 through 16 then explains his criteria and makes some key comparisons across conferences. Who are the best teams? Who are the sleepers? Who is overrated? Who are the most worthy teams at this point? How much should resume count vs the “eyeball test?” Who could be this year’s Ohio State?

Mark brings a passionate view and analytical eye to college football discussion.
