The Montreal Canadiens have started the 2015-16 season with a bang, winning nine straight games in regulation. The Habs are just one win away from tying the NHL record of 10-0-0, co-owned by the Toronto Maple Leafs (1993-94) and the Buffalo Sabres (2006-07). Both of those teams made it to the conference finals after winning 10 in a row.
Carey Price stopped 49 of 52 shots versus the Maple Leafs last night to secure the 5-3 victory and helping to extend the Habs win streak. P.K. Subban, Lars Eller, David Desharnais, Max Pacioretty, and Brendan Gallagher all scored for the Habs while Leo Komarov, James van Riemsdyk, and Morgan Rielly put up goals for the Leafs.

Despite scoring five goals, the Habs looked tired and played a bad third period. The Habs also couldn’t score an empty net goal with almost three minutes of an open net and could only muster two chances in the Leafs zone. As always, a huge thanks goes to Price for this win and for keeping his team’s streak alive.
Montreal is off until Tuesday night where they will play the Vancouver Canucks at the Rogers Centre for the first time this season. It is unconfirmed who will start in net for the Habs, but if the nod goes to Price, another tally under the win column for the Canadiens could be likely. Price owns a 6-1-2 record all time versus the Canucks.
