Former NBA player, Lamar Odom reportedly is fighting for his life in a Nevada hospital after being found unconscious in a brothel in Pahrump, Nevada on Tuesday in Nye County. The two-time NBA champ is also known for his highly publicized romance with reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

Reportedly, at approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 14, 2015, Richard Hunter, media director of Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch, and one other patron requested an ambulance for an unresponsive Odom. Odom was found unconscious, but breathing, with reports indicating blood and a white substance coming from his nose and mouth. TMZ cited the Love Ranch manager who reported a “mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth.”
Odom was at Love Ranch to “get away from something”
The Love Ranch manager said that Odom was there “to get away from something.” According to CNN’s sister network HLN, in three days, Odom reportedly spent $75,000 there, the price that guaranteed two women would “take care of any of his needs.” Odom used cocaine on the first day at the Love Ranch.
It was reported by Nye County police that they had been told that Odom had taken up to 10 sexual enhancement tablets during the three-day period. It was also reported that Odom had used cocaine Saturday, but it is unclear whether the cocaine use continued throughout his stay.
First responders arrived and stabilized Odom at the scene at approximately 3:34 p.m. and transported him to Desert View Hospital in Pahrump. After being treated by physicians, Odom was transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas where he continues to receive treatment.
Kardashian Making Medical Decisions for Odom
Kardashian and Odom reportedly signed divorce papers this year, but the divorce has not been finalized according to a CNN source. As a result, Kardashian is making medical decisions for Odom. Some members of the Kardashian family have reportedly been a the hospital since Tuesday night.
Nye County communications officer indicated that Odom’s case is still ongoing. Reportedly, detectives in the case have investigated the Love Ranch and have been granted a search warrant for Odom’s blood. The results of the blood results are now awaiting lab submission and processing.
The 4th pick in the 1999 draft hasn’t played a game in the NBA since the 2012-2013 season. Odom was a 14-year veteran who won back-to-back titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Odom was considered a versatile forward during his stints with the Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat.
Odom won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award after the 2010-11 season in which he averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and three assists while hitting a career high 53% of his shots while playing for the Lakers.
