Tonight Could Be TNA’s final Bound For Glory
http://old.lastwordonsports.com/2015/10/04/tonight-tnas-final-bound-glory/
It has not been an easy year for TNA after hoping for a fresh start with Destination America. The sharks have been in the water since their inception and it’s looking like they can finally sense some blood in the water. Will Bound For Glory 2015 be a step in the right direction, or another stake in the grave of Total Nonstop Action?
Fights of Fancy: The Super Powers vs. The Mega Powers
http://old.lastwordonsports.com/2015/10/04/fights-fancy-super-powers-vs-mega-powers/
Fantasizing about dream match ups is part of being a professional wrestling fan. For years we read magazines like Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Inside Wrestling, and The Wrestler, intrigued by their fantasy match ups. We would then grab action figures and create our own fantasy tournaments, where we would decide who was the best of all time. It is in that spirit that we have Fights of Fancy. A look inside the arena of imagination where we ask who would win in the match up of… The Super Powers vs The Mega Powers!
Wrestling News to Start Your Week
Former TNA wrestler Gunner told Channel Guide Magazine that he has had talks with WWE to come in. WWE might be interested in his former Military background (he’s a legitimate former military gunner with the United States Marine Corps) but at 33 years old and being a pretty limited brawler in the ring, it’s hard to see him doing much beyond NXT.
According to Wrestling Inc, the major announcement by TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter was that Ethan Carter III, Rebel and Mahabali Shera would be heading to India for a media tour/talent search. The promotional tour is being done with Sony SIX, the Indian Sports channel which shows TNA in India. With no TV in America, could TNA try to Ring Ka King it and just run international television until someone better comes along? A relationship with Sony is decent internationally but not much for North America, unless they get a timeslot on the Game Show Network.
This past weekend, Rey Mysterio Jr. won the Destiny Wrestling championship from PJ Black in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The match also featured Ricochet (Prince Puma from Lucha Underground). Destiny is not the same as the Destiny Wrestling Organization in New Mexico. The live shows for Destiny are run in Santino Marella’s BattleArts academy.
Zahra Schreiber, Seth Rollins girlfriend and recently released from a WWE development deal, made her wrestling return after a Dreamwave Wrestling show in Lasalle, Illinois on Saturday. She showed up as the new manager for Ruff Crossing, Brubaker, Donovan Danhausen and Arik Cannon’s supergroup. Good luck to her, if it was all just a misunderstanding.
