Fantasy NFL Week 3’s Top-10

Okay, so your team didn’t get off to the start you wanted it to. Listen, I’m right there with you. Here’s the good news: You still have time to make a run for glory. That’s why I’m writing this article right now to help you get a win this weekend.

So without further ado, here is Week 3’s edition of “Top 10” where I give you my top-10 rankings at each position and discuss the top-5 for that respective week.

Fantasy NFL Week 3’s Top-10

Quarterbacks

1. Aaron Rodgers (vs Chiefs)

Rodgers has a fantastic matchup this week. The Chiefs have been lit up by quarterbacks thus far and Rodgers is the most talented quarterback currently in the league. Rodgers should flourish at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football.

2. Russell Wilson (vs Bears)

Wilson will make use of Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham on Sunday versus a terrible Bears defense. Wilson should put up a monster game, and there should be no question whether you are starting him.

3. Cam Newton (vs Saints)

Cam Newton was electrifying last week versus the Texans and this week he gets a juicy matchup with an atrocious Saints defense. There is no doubt, you are starting him on Sunday.

4. Tom Brady (vs Jaguars)

Brady has put over 25 fantasy points in the first two weeks of the NFL season. This week he’s facing the worst defense he’s faced this season by far. Expect for him to do great things on Sunday.

5. Peyton Manning (@ Lions)

The Broncos offense has not been in sync the last couple of weeks. That doesn’t change Manning’s status for your fantasy team. Last week he still put up 20 points, in a standard format, and I think he will put up a great showing in a prime time game versus the Lions.

6. Andrew Luck (@ Titans)
7. Carson Palmer (vs 49ers)
8. Matt Ryan (@ Cowboys)
9. Ben Roethlisberger (@ Rams)
10. Andy Dalton (@ Ravens)

Running Backs

1. Adrian Peterson (vs Chargers)

Peterson came alive for 134 rushing yards last week against the Lions. He should have an even better outcome this week against a suspect Chargers rush defense. Expect for him to lead all running backs in Week 3.

2. Jamaal Charles (@ Packers)

Green Bay’s defense was not kind to Marshawn Lynch and his fantasy owners last week. What’s the chances they can replicate that performance this week against the Chiefs? The Chiefs are going to have to get the ground game going right away, but Charles is good for 100+ yards and a touchdown on Monday Night Football.

3. Marshawn Lynch (vs Bears)

Lynch was stopped in his tracks last week against the Packers. I’ll say it right now, this is the week he gets back to “beast mode” standards against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

4. Le’veon Bell (@ Rams)

Bell will be active on Sunday versus the Rams after serving a two-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. The Rams had high expectations for their defense going into the season, but have given up over 250 yards on the ground. Bell is an RB1 against the Rams on Sunday.

5. Latavius Murray (@ Browns)

Murray had a great performance last week against the Ravens above-average run defense. Meanwhile, the Browns have been one of the best match-ups for running backs this season. I expect for him to have the best game of his career thus far on Sunday.

6. Matt Forte (@ Seahawks)
7. CJ Anderson (@ Lions)
8. LeSean McCoy (@ Dolphins)
9. Frank Gore (@ Titans)
10. Carlos Hyde (@ Cardinals)

Wide Receivers

1. Demaryius Thomas (@ Lions)

Demaryius Thomas has had two sub-par performances to start the season. I think all of that changes come this Sunday. I’ll boldly say that he will lead all wide receivers when all is set and done in Week 3.

2. AJ Green (@ Ravens)

The Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has been a huge part of the Bengals offense thus far. The good news for Green owners is that AJ Green always finds a way to completely destroy the Ravens secondary. I’m expecting a monster game from AJ Green in this divisional matchup.

3. Antonio Brown (@ Rams)

Brown has been worth the first round pick you spent on him through the first two games. Don’t expect that to change in Week 3 versus a solid Rams defense.

4. Julio Jones (@ Cowboys)

Jones has been utterly fantastic as Matt Ryan’s number one target to start the season. So for the Cowboys defense to slow that down on Sunday would just be unrealistic. Expect another big outing from Julio Jones.

5. Randall Cobb (vs Chiefs)

Cobb has put up WR2 numbers so far which has mostly to do with Aaron Rodgers love for James Jones the first two weeks of the season. I’m expecting for Rodgers to look for Cobb early and often on Monday night and for Cobb to put up WR1 numbers.

6. Mike Evans (@ Texans)
7. Brandon Marshall (vs Eagles)
8. Emmanuel Sanders (@ Lions)
9. Calvin Johnson (vs Broncos)
10. Julian Edelman (vs Jaguars)

Tight Ends

1. Rob Gronkowski (vs Jaguars)

Gronkowski has been on fire so far this season blowing up for a total of 12 receptions for 207 yards and 4 touchdowns. I don’t think he’s moving any lower in the tight end ranks anytime soon.

2. Greg Olsen (@ Saints)

After a terrible outcome in week 1, Olsen finished last week’s game with 6 catches for 70 yards. Expect for him to replicate the yardage on Sunday and also find the end zone.

3. Jimmy Graham (vs Bears)

Jimmy Graham was extremely disappointed, and rightfully so, for his lone target last Sunday. I think that Wilson tries to get Graham back into the mix, targeting him for short yardage and in the red zone.

4. Travis Kelce (@ Packers)

Kelce followed his monster performance in week 1 with a sub-par performance in week 2. There’s no reason why Kelce can’t have a high scoring performance this week on Monday Night Football.

5. Tyler Eifert (@ Ravens)

Eifert has been the tight end to grab off the waiver wire the first two weeks of the NFL season. This week the Bengals face a Ravens defense that has limited tight ends, though, Eifert is by far the most talented tight end the Ravens will have seen so far this season. He is a must-start.

6. Kyle Rudolph (vs Chargers)
7. Richard Rodgers (vs Chiefs)
8. Delanie Walker (vs Colts)
9. Jordan Cameron (vs Buffalo)
10. Zach Ertz (@ New York Jets)
