Mike Evans Returned To The Practice Field

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers widereciever, Mike Evans returned to the practice field Friday for the first time since injuring his hamstring in the Pre-Season.

“I feel great,” Mike Evans said Friday, according to Zach Sharpio of PewterReport.com. “I was able to run some routes full-speed and it felt good.”

On the Tampa Bay Buccaneers official injury report, it had the second year wideout Mike Evans, ruled as questionable, giving him a chance to suit up and play in Sundays game against the Tennessee Titans.

The Buccaneers Head Coach Lovie Smith, said the status of his star receiver would ultimately come down to how much he can progress leading up to game time on Sunday.

“It’s Friday, keep that in mind. But he was able to run around a little bit, didn’t have any pain or anything like that, so we’re on the road to recovery,” Smith said. “How soon he gets back to full speed and how soon he’s ready to actually play- each day will tell us more.”

After a standout rookie season, Mike Evans can be expected to start the 2015 NFL season as the No. 1 target for the Buccaneers rookie quarterback Jameis Winston. And if Mike Evans is unable to go, then widereciever Louis Murphy, would lineup opposite of Vincent Jackson.

This week one matchup showcases two former winners of the Heisman Trophy. Including Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, and Jameis Winston. Both of whom were taken with the first two picks of the 2014 NFL-Draft.

There’s a lot of debate on which rookie quarterback will have the better year. But if you look at the skill positions, the Tampay Buccaneers, by far, have the better players on offense. At running back you have Doug Martin, and one of the best duo’s at widereciever in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Where as the Titans are a young team with a lot of potential.
