The NFL is almost here, and that means that there will be great football games to watch every single week. We know you wouldn’t dream of missing a game, but sometimes a person has to prioritize. With that in mind, we’re counting down the best games on the 2015 NFL schedule. If you have to miss a game while your mother-in-law is in town, make sure it’s not when one of these unreal match-ups is on.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New England Patriots
Thursday, September 10 at 8:30 PM
This game looked a lot less exciting before a federal judge vacated Tom Brady’s four-game suspension. Now Brady will be in Foxboro on an emotional night, which puts the Patriots at a distinct advantage. The banner will go up, but the Steelers may not go down – they’re a very good team this year. With two key players (Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell and Patriots RB LaGarrette Blount) still suspended, both teams should arrive with some unique game plans. The first game of the year should be one of the season’s best.
Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks
Sunday, September 17 at 8:30 PM
The Packers and Seahawks are the NFC’s best teams and Las Vegas’ favorite Super Bowl contenders. This matchup comes relatively early in the season, but it will still be billed as a potential NFC Championship game preview – and with good reason.
Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots
Thursday, October 15 at 8:30 PM
If the NFL had its way, this would have been Tom Brady’s first game back from a four-game suspension. A federal judge disagreed, so Tom should be in mid-season form by the time this one rolls around. That’s good news for fans who want to see two great quarterbacks face off.
Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers
Sunday, November 1 at 8:30 PM
Speaking of great quarterbacks, here’s a matchup you can’t miss. All-time great Peyton Manning will attempt to shake his reputation as a poor cold-weather quarterback by dueling Green Bay’s chilly November and Aaron Rodgers, the game’s current top QB.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos
Sunday, November 8 at 4:25 PM
It’s always fun to watch quarterbacks as good as Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning, and it’s even more fun when it’s a re-match of the AFC Championship game. Throw in the connection between the two – the Lucks and Mannings are family friends, and Luck has taken over as quarterback on Manning’s old team – and you’ve got a can’t-miss football game.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Buffalo Bills
Sunday, December 13 at 1:00 PM
Both the Eagles and Bills are looking like potential division champions this year. The Eagles are a brand new team with great depth and an explosive running game. The Bills are a team built around defense. Expect smashmouth football in the chilly Buffalo winter.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, December 27 at 8:30 PM
The AFC North has at least two good teams this year, and the Steelers and the Ravens are them. Expect this division to be a close race, with this Sunday night game looming large in the second-to-last week of the regular season.
