“The match against Canada is very important in our build-up towards the Rugby World Cup 2015” Coach McKee said.

“This game will enable us to put in place our Game Plan worked on in camp in Fiji and here at Aldershot. The camp here at Aldershot has gone really well,” McKee added. “Yesterday (Thursday) was a big day with two field sessions and the players have bounced-back well today bringing plenty of energy to the training. I am looking for a disciplined performance against Canada”.

The game will be live-streamed to Fiji; local time will be 1.30am Monday 7th September. The link for the live webcast is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN_6BSr6yDA.

“In the 2015 Pacific Nations Cup our penalty count was too high” McKee stressed. “In Sunday’s match the players must be very disciplined not to give away penalties for offside and in the ruck area. It was great to see a good crowd of Fiji supporters at our training yesterday. I hope plenty of our supporters here in the UK take the opportunity to see the Flying Fijians in action against Canada this Sunday, at the Stoop” McKee said.

Also this afternoon Fiji Rugby announced the winners of the Fiji v Canada mascot competition. Brothers Neorinavo and Luke Rusaqoli, aged 13 and 7 years old, have won the competition to Mascot the Flying Fijian’s by leading the team onto the pitch for the Test match vs. Canada at The Stoop on Sunday.

A rugby skills session will also take place before the game on Sunday. All those interested in participating will need to meet at Gate three of The Stoop, with registration from 1:00pm.

Local kick-off time is 14:30pm (GMT)
