Steven Hauschka, K, Seattle Seahawks
Steven Hauschka gets to kick for the Seattle Seahawks who have been to back-to-back Super Bowl’s. Hauschka is a big time kicker who makes the kick when it matters most. Last season he finished 31 out of 37 on field goal attempts. He also made all of his 41 extra point attempts.
The number of extra points he tries is what separates Hauschka from the high end kicker options from a fantasy aspect. While making 31 field goals is very good amongst kickers typically being drafted in fantasy, Dan Bailey attempted (and made) 56 extra points last year. A whopping 15 more points than Hauschka had.
The Seahawks brought in Jimmy Graham as a huge mobile target for Russell Wilson’s offense. He could be the difference for the offense to become among the best in the league. For now draft Haushka between the fifth and tenth kicker off the board and feel comfortable starting him every week.
