Fantasy Profile: Garrett Hartley, K, Pittsburgh Steelers
The knee injury to Shaun Suisham in the Hall of Fame opened up a favorable spot for Garrett Hartley to make a return trip to the AFC North after last being seen on the field for two games with the Cleveland Browns last season. Hartley is an interesting kicking talent, blessed with a big leg and strong accuracy from long distance. He has experienced issues with field goals in the 30 to 39-yard range though, and being less than automatic from this distance is why he was still available when Suisham went down. Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field has been known to be a difficult place to kick field goals, so there are some concerns that Hartley will not be successful with the Steelers. As long as he can remain the team’s starting kicker, he will be playing with a very good offense that should lead to a lot of fantasy points.
