Fantasy Profile: Ryan Mallet, QB, Houston Texans

Ryan Mallett should win the job as the Texans starting quarterback and he is good enough to keep it, however losing Andre Johnson, plus being a run first and run often style of offence in Houston does not help his fantasy value.

Even with Arian Foster’s injury, the Texans are still expected to run the ball very heavily. Mallet is a good quarterback but he will not have the chance to make a fantasy football impact with that offensive system. Mallet can be a bye week replacement and it may be worth keeping an eye on him in deeper fantasy leagues.
