Wrestling 2 the MAX: WWE Summerslam 2015 Preview, NXT Takeover Brooklyn Preview, ROH Field of Honor Preview, & More

We headline this week with a trifecta of Previews. We do a WWE Summerslam 2015 Preview, a NXT Takeover Brooklyn Preview, and a ROH/NJPW Field of Honor Preview as well.

Sorry that it seems we’ve had some long episodes lately, but this one might be another one. We are joined by Wrestling Unwrapped Podcast co-host Harry Broadhurst for a lot of the show, as there are three huge shows happening this weekend from four different companies and we will have previews for each one.

However, we start with Quick Hits (8:00-54:00), where we talk about ESPN and WWE possibly having a deal to cover more major WWE events. ROH and New Japan are going to have a big announcement, WWE has interest in Biff Busick and Rich Swann, NXT could do more shows based around WWE PPV’s and a whole lot more.

We then get into our review of the go-home WWE RAW (55:00-124:00) by storyline and then transition into our WWE Summerslam 2015 Preview (125:00-167:00) giving our predictions and thoughts on what might happen on the big event of the summer.

After that, it is time to move over to NXT TV (168:00-182:00) and discuss their go-home show. Then we do our NXT Takeover Brooklyn Preview (183:00-207:00) as well.

Not to be outdone, ROH gets into the action with their ROH TV (208:00-215:00) show this week and then they have a major show as well that we have to preview, which is the ROH Field of Honor (216:00-228:00) show that features some major New Japan talent.

We finish things out with talking about TNA Impact Wrestling Turning Point (228:00-243:00) and we get to our W2M Power Rankings. (243:30-End)

Sean Garmer: studied Journalism at the University of North Texas. Sean loves pro-wrestling so much that he even trained to be a wrestler at the age of 17. Though he eventually had to quit wrestling to go to college, he still returned to do play-by-play commentary, help write storylines, and most of all, to watch matches. Sean started his love of pro-wrestling at the age of five after watching a Hulk Hogan match. Due to his family hating sports-entertainment, there were many years he missed. However, he returned full-time to being a fan in the late 1990’s. Since then, Sean has gone on to write for various wrestling websites in a number of capacities, but he discovered his true passion, Podcasting, two years ago when he and Gary started the Wrestling 2 the MAX Podcast.

Gary Vaughan: is a native North Texan with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. His time in college actually rekindled his love of pro wrestling he had lost somewhere along the way. Gary’s enjoyment of the sport began around 1996. As a fan, he has become a student of the wrestling business and gains knowledge through many platforms. WCW is dear to his heart because of it being his introduction to the scene. Now, Gary is a proud podcast host, as well as a writer for wrestling columns.

Paul Leazar: is a recent college graduate from the University of North Texas with an immense amount of time on his hands because nobody wants to hire the idiot with the History degree. He was born an’ raised in the great state of Texas, and began his love affair with pro wrestling at the tender age of five after watching WWF’s Summerslam 1993 pay-per-view. The relationship turned serious with the growth of independent wrestling and the internet in the early 2000’s, which has seen the love affair turn into a full blown addiction that led him to write about it sporadically for various websites, and co-host the Wrestling 2 The Max podcast.
