Fantasy Profile: Joique Bell, RB, Detroit Lions
Joique Bell is a big running back with the skill set of… Well, a big running back. He is powerfully built with a low center of gravity that enables him to get low and push forward when it is needed the most. Over the last two years Bell has scored a touchdown on nine of ten tries from the one yard line. He is a beast on the goal line and that is a huge bonus for a fantasy running back. Nothing is more frustrating than watching your star running back rush all the way down the field only for someone else to come in and score the 6 points. That won’t happen with Bell.
That is not to say Bell will get all of the points from the Detroit backfield. Ameer Abdullah was drafted in the second round this year and is an amazing talent. He will take touches from Bell in between the 20 yard lines while they drive down the field. Theo Riddick will also get involved in the passing game and on third down. For these reasons Bell does come with risk in drafting your team for 2015. That being said, he is still the starter, will still get touchdowns and should still be on your fantasy roster at the right price. That price is about round 5 or 6 in most formats and lower in your point per reception leagues.
