Fantasy Profile: Matt Forte, RB, Chicago Bears
Matt Forte is one of the elite running backs in the NFL. In 2015 he compiled 1038 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns. However, what makes Forte a truly elite back is his pass catching ability. Last season Forte set an NFL record for receptions by running back with 102 catches for 808 yards and 4 touchdowns.
In the off-season Chicago lost their head coach and offensive coordinator Marc Trestman to the Baltimore Ravens and veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets. Forte could be in for a big season but with the loss of Marshall, defensive coordinators will now turn there attention to stopping Forte out of the backfield. Forte is still an elite back and worth a late first round pick. He should go even sooner, in the mid-first round in PPR based formats.
