Fantasy Profile: LeGarrette Blount, RB, New England Patriots
LeGarrette Blount is a gigantic human being. He has the running style of a huge boulder rolling down a mountain. When Bill Belichick decides he wants to pound the rock, LeGarrette Blount will be the recipient of many fantasy points for said week. However, Bill Belichick has been famously said to hate fantasy football. While I doubt he has ever actually said that (seems like a lot for him to say all at once), he is a destroyer of fantasy running backs from week to week. One week he will give it to Blount 20 times, then the next game only give it to him twice.
With the departure of Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley things should look up for Blount this year in fantasy. Draft him knowing you will receive very low totals from him in some weeks. Also keep in mind that he will miss week one due to suspension, and keep an eye on his training camp MCL sprain to see if he will play in week two.
