Fantasy Profile: Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers running attack has featured Frank Gore every year for a decade. Gore has now taken his talents to Indianapolis and left the power running to second year running back Carlos Hyde. Hyde is built like a train and has a similar running style. He fits the mold of the San Francisco offense magnificently.

Last year in a limited role as he learned behind Gore, he still managed to get 333 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Reggie Bush was brought in to San Francisco in the offseason and will cut into Hyde’s production a little as a pass catcher and on third downs. The Niners have said they want to run the football a lot and Hyde is the back in that offense who can carry the load. Target him in round four for a good value with high upside.
