Fantasy Profile: Keenan Allen, WR, San Diego Chargers
Keenan Allen came into the 2014 season with the potential to be one of next elite wide receivers in the NFL. As a rookie he posted 1,046 yards and 8 touchdowns. Allen was drafted as a high WR2 in most league, but he fell victim to the dreaded sophomore slump. Allen only posted 783 yards and 4 touchdowns last year.
Keenan Allen had more receptions in his second season in the league but his yards after the catch went down along with his touchdowns. Allen has the chance to bounce back with the addition of running back Melvin Gordon giving the Chargers more weapons and opening up the passing game. The suspension of Antonio Gates could also see Allen get more looks during the first four games of the season. Without Gates around, Allen will be Philip Rivers safety blanket and should put up solid numbers in 2015.
